I bought this to use with my older Genie garage door opener (nine dip switch model) and it works great. Setup was a piece of cake as others have noted: five minutes to read the directions and program it, then a few more minutes to screw it in to the outside wall of my garage. If all my projects were this easy, I'd be... well, bored actually.

This product was easy to install, easy to program the code, and a breeze to operate. I like the additional weather protection that the cover offers as it protects the keypad from the sun and rain.

I have an old Craftsman 1/2 HP chain drive opener built in 1992 that didn't come with a remote keypad, but I needed to add one for the kids. I was assured that this gem would work, and it did - perfectly. The only issue I have is in the design of the battery cover. Whoever designed it was either a genius (if it's designed to not work or, worse yet, break) or an idiot (if they thought it was designed to work flawlessly). Therefore, only a 4/5 stars from me.
For my model, the programming instructions were a bit lengthy, but overall not difficult to follow. I would highly recommend this model for anyone wanting to add or replace a difficult-to-find outdoor garage door opener keypad.
Pros: Easy to configure/install/use, comes with a battery, price.
Cons: Battery cover design, top easily slides off and could be lost or broken, no alpha-numeric.
